06 Fri 8:00 pm | The Electric Farm
Joey Mutis’s (III, that is) music has been a breath of fresh air in the
Lehigh Valley’s music scene for years, now. We can’t help but applaud his
Electric Farm, with its always crisp arrangements, tasty folk-pop sound and
Joey’s quirky songs. There’s elements of The Kinks, Neil Young and
Nick Drake (look him up…). Anyway, it’ll be an evening of delicious music,
guaranteed!
A new album is on the horizon with the band further exploring the “folksy space
rock situation”. The Farm is Joey Mutis III on guitar, Paul Gehman
on bass, Michael Frank on keyboards, and Roger Cox on drums.

The musicians and families of DayBreak have been harmonizing together for the
past fifteen years in and around Lehigh and Bucks Counties of Pennsylvania.
Their sound is a rich blend of acoustic instruments and voices with Celtic jigs,
reels, hornpipes and ballads; American folk tunes and songs, folk hymns,
original pieces, and seasonal songs. A DayBreak performance brings warmth and
freshness to an uncommon range of traditional and current genres.

20 Fri 8:00 pm | Jay Smar
Some summer nights at Godfrey’s are reserved for hidden treasures that come
from our neighboring backyards. Jay Smar is such a treasure, hailing from Jim
Thorpe and the coal regions with stories, songs, and instrumentals. As a
songwriter, Jay has placed as a finalist at the Kerrville Folk Festival, and has
shared the stage with such notables from Leo Kottke to Norman Blake to
Emmylou Harris, to name only a few. You may have seen Jay performing at the
Forksville, New Jersey, or Philadelphia Folk Festivals. He was also commissioned
to write music for a BBC Wales documentary called, “The Welsh in America.”
Jay’s historical album, The Ballad of Glen Onoko was inducted into
the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. Tom Paxton remarks: "...there
is fire in his fiddle and it'll spread to your heart. Catch him if you can." We
invite you to join us in welcoming an undiscovered artist – you won’t be
disappointed.

21 Sat 8:00 pm | Frog Holler
Having taken their self-styled "Pennsylvania Dutch Rock" to Europe and the
greater American soundscape, Frog Holler brings back a boat full of critical
raves and reviews. With a rustic and soulful sound reminiscent of The Band, they
weave Dobro, banjo, and acoustic guitar with rock underpinnings and have created
a deliriously entertaining stage presence. Darren Schlappich's original
songs have a plainspoken eloquence, causing Nick Cristiano of The Philadelphia
Inquirer to say: "When it comes to capturing his place in the world,
Schlappich continues to stand head and shoulders above most Americana
songwriters." This is a show that always sells out, so get your seats reserved
early.

Blame Sally is: Pam Delgado, Renee Harcourt, Jeri Jones, and Monica
Pasqual. These four accomplished instrumentalist/singers combine their
strikingly different approaches to create a distinct and beautiful sound that's
been described as emotionally charged, highly melodic, and compelling. Their
music is an eclectic blend of pop-motivated folk – intelligent, emotional, and
alive with syncopation and melody with lush, inventive arrangements and
compelling songs. The San Francisco Chronicle called Blame Sally's
self-produced/self released second album "intelligently emotional, intricately
harmonized folk-pop" with "imaginatively arranged, expansive narrative songs."
Help welcome this West Coast band in its Godfrey’s debut.
