01 Fri 8:00 pm | Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart
The indescribable magic of a Stacey Earle and Mark Stuart concert must be
experienced to be believed. Two more down-to-earth artists coming inside from on
the road you are not likely to meet. From the outside, their story looks like a
fairytale – from the night they met and first played together at a Nashville
open mike in 1991, they have been intertwined musically and lyrically. Married
to each other in 1992, they have worked together ever since, touring over 250
days a year, telling their lives’ stories in song, touching audiences across the
country and beyond. You’ll hear intimate and engaging tales, sung in Stacey’s
endearing soprano drawl with Mark’s perfectly matched harmonies and highly
skilled guitar playing. Don’t miss their long overdue return to our humble
stage.

02 Sat 8:00 pm | Steve Gillette and Cindy Mangsen
Some more old friends to Godfrey's stage, we welcome back what could be
called a one-act folk festival. Cindy, oft times appearing with Anne Hills,
and Steve, a mighty songwriter, having been covered by John Denver, Ian &
Sylvia, Garth Brooks and more, perform together in an evening of dynamic
harmonies, beautiful songs and instrumental virtuosity. Together since 1989,
this husband and wife team “expresses a deep affection for traditional and
contemporary folk music. Whether the song be a 500-year-old ballad, early blues,
or an original composition, Gillette and Mangsen combine respect and intuition
for a captivating performance." - Sing Out! Magazine.

Grammy-nominated guitarist, singer and songwriter Bill Kirchen was named “A
Titan of the Telecaster” by Guitar Player magazine. It was Uncle Bill’s
trademark licks which sent Commander Cody’s Lost Planet Airmen classic
“Hot Rod Lincoln” into the top ten nationwide in 1972. Bill’s music career spans
over 30 years, and his performances recall a half-century of guitar legends to
rock legends all the way to Jimi Hendrix. His recent CD Hammer of the Honky
Tonk Gods was at #5 and climbing on the AMA charts, last we looked. “He's
like a devastating culmination of the elegant and funky... a really sensational
musician, with enormous depth.” - Nick Lowe. WXLV is media sponsor

Tonight, not one, but TWO CD releases! Read on:
Brooks Williams’ music is rooted in the blues and is as fresh and original as
any music you are likely to hear. His unique combination of traditional and

"America's musical treasures." Over the years he has recorded 17 CDs for labels
like Green Linnet Records, Signature Sounds, Red Guitar Blue Music, and Solid
Air Records. His newest, The Time I Spend With You, is a high-energy,
up-beat recording of rootsy originals, blues classics, and fingerpicked
instrumentals - including his unique arrangement of the classic Beaumont Rag.
Brooks is as diverse and versatile a musician as you are likely to encounter.

Singer-songwriter Jack Murray is making his Godfrey Daniels debut after many
years of making music in these parts. A founding member of country-rock band
Golden Rocket in the late 70s, Jack virtually defined "Americana" a
decade or two before the term was adopted - with his unique mix of folk,
blues, roots R&R, and country music – while successfully writing for Nashville
recording artists. His long-overdue debut CD Then There's That… is
newly released, featuring his noteworthy guitar and vocal stylings and
powerful original songs. Join Jack and his sideman Wayne Johnston as he
shares the bill with the amazing Brooks Williams for a most memorable February
evening.

Our third couple in the romantic month of
February’s offerings, Small Potatoes is the big name for a wonderful folk duo
that has garnered attention at Musikfest, Falcon Ridge, the Philly Folk
Festival, and beyond. Rich Prezioso
and Jacquie Manning
are adept at Irish tunes, raucous blues, touching original songs,
and witty country tunes that make them a veritable folk festival unto
themselves - as they say, “celtic to cowboy.”
Dirty Linen says: “One of
the most polished, inventive and entertaining shows on the folk circuit.” One
thing that doesn’t change in their unique mix of music is their tightly woven,
flawless vocals. Hear them once, and we guarantee you’ll be hooked!

Dave Tamulevich and Michael Hough have been making music as the

polished as one would expect from two performers and writers who have been
collaborating forever. It covers a large range of styles and eras, and it all
shares a common message of joy and respect for every subject. After their
appearances at Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and
The Barns at Wolf Trap, it is an honor to have them here at little old
Godfrey's. A treat for all.

We are excited to have this talented string
quartet from New York City on Godfrey's stage for the first time. This unusual
quartet is described as bottom-heavy, using two cellos instead of two violins.
They play original compositions of various styles, so don't think that they
will put you to sleep with chamber music! They played to a packed house a
couple years ago at Musikfest, and George Graham from Northeastern
Pennsylvania has named their new album The Strange Parade one of his
best of 2007. The ensemble consists of Helen Yee on violin, Chris
Jenkins on viola, and Chris George and Steven Berson on
cello. These accomplished musicians have studied at the finest schools and
have played and composed with various ensembles over the years. This show
promises to be a great night of classical strings playing jazz, classical, and
more; so come out for an enjoyable evening.

23 Sat 8:00 pm | Alexis P. Suter
Alexis P Suter is a solid Blues belter with a killer voice and a hot 7-piece
band, with backup singers and the whole bit! A lucky few of us got
a teasing taste of Alexis and her band when they performed so mightily at the
WDIY birthday party last month; now the band returns to the Lehigh Valley,
taking Godfrey's stage by storm. Her larger-than-life stage presence radiates
with the power of a white-hot super nova to the farthest niche of performance
space , plus, as they say down in Philly, she has Atty-tood!. Think
of what that means in our intimate room! Your second chance to experience the
thunder rolling, lightning bolts, and sparks flying...don't miss it WDIY is media sponsor
