Mike Cross
Mike Cross has been returning to Godfrey's for many years and we relish
his
wonderful talents as an entertainer and storyteller. As a solo performer, Mike
simply wraps up himself and his audience in a truly joyous time of rollicking
fun. Bounding from Irish fiddle tunes to 12-string bottleneck blues to fast
flat-picking bluegrass, Mike sings and cavorts with the audience so easily,
you'd think you were sitting with him on his porch in North Carolina. It’s an
awfully good time!

Lindsay Mac A girl. A cello with a strap. Fresh, emotional,
dynamic music that
moves. Lindsay Mac plays the cello and sings. For fans of: Feist, Damien
Rice,
Joni Mitchell, Ray LaMontagne, Regina Spektor, Ani DiFranco, Liz Phair, Beck
(Sea Change). Lindsay was classically trained starting at the age of six in
church choir; formal training in piano and cello came shortly thereafter.
While a student at Dartmouth College she took the opportunity to move to
London to study at the Royal College of Music. She then briefly left Dartmouth
to study at The San Francisco Conservatory. Lindsay returned to Dartmouth,
graduated, enrolled in Berklee College of Music and shortly thereafter began
touring full-time. The rest is yet to come.

Hoots And Hellmouth
Philadelphia’s Sean Hoots, Rob Berliner, Andrew Gray, and John Branigan,
collectively known as Hoots and Hellmouth, perform rocking blues and
gospel saturated old/new music with solid vocal harmonies and bouncing
rhythmic accompaniment. They are all over WXPN, and gaining momentum all
over the country. This is young, fresh, hot music that will have you on your
feet and jumping. On their latest cd The Holy Open Spirit, H&H invite you to
sing and dance with them, lay your weary burden down and get lifted for a
spell. Let’s break away from the traditional roles of performer and
audience.

Bruce Katz Band
Perennial Godfrey’s favorite Bruce Katz returns
with his hot jazz tinged
powerhouse
blues. With his big, old Hammond B-3 and Leslie rumble and keyboard
flash, Bruce fronts a group of the hottest musicians you will ever hear.
Both Bruce and bassist Rod Carey worked with the legendary
Ronnie Earl and the Broadcasters. The Bruce Katz Band don’t mess
with words…their music is all instrumental, straight from the heart, and
they have a reputation for playing long, hot sets. There are not too
many performances that can move you like this one. Their latest CD “Live!
At the Firefly” was recently released, and you can get your copy
right here. The perfect warm-up for Musikfest’s closing fireworks!
